Dave Quirk is Energy Transition Advisor for DTU Offshore, and is also Technical Director at the Energy & Sustainability Centre Isle of Man, and Chairman of the Manx Geological Survey.

He has a PhD in geoscience and has worked both in industry and academia for more than 30 years.  Since 2019 he has worked exclusively on projects related to achieving net zero emissions of greenhouse gases with work focused on pathways to renewable energy on islands involving research into and modelling of low-carbon power systems and grid-scale energy storage.  In addition, he is involved in various public engagement initiatives.

He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed papers, the main ones are listed here - publications.
