Abstract

The video was part of the survey we did last year where we compared fish abundance and biodiversity on mussel reefs and sandy or muddy seabeds inside the Helnæs Bay (Helnæs Bugt). We deployed more than a hundred baited stereo cameras in mussel reefs and sandy/muddy bottoms.

We used the Trident ROV to check the seabed before deploying the baited stereo cameras. And by coincidence, we recorded the flatfish in the mussel reef. The mussel reef is protected in the Helnæs Bay, because bottom trawling and dredging for blue mussels are prohibited activities inside the bay.
