    Abstract

The constitutive equation of high impact polystyrene (HIPS) has been obtained from experimental measurements of membrane inflation in a cylinder using finite element simulations, based on the 3D Lagrangian Integral Method. The polymer melt rheology of HIPS is modelled as a single integral model of the Factorized Rivlin-Saywer type.
