Abstract
The Windows program SORPVEJ collects weighing data from the
balance and plots points on the sorption curve. The features of
the program are: All data are transmitted automatically from the
balance to the computer. Each point on the curve is an original
measurement and every time you get a new point on the curve the
program calculates a new and better fit for the weight decrease.
The equation calculates new variables every time to make the curve
smooth until equilibrium. The program decides when moisture
equilibrium is reached. The program distinguishes between
absorption and desorption. To ensure that the same procedure is
used every time, guidance is build into the program.
