Abstract

Release rates predicted by a homogeneous two-phase outflow model have been compared with experimental results from a blowdown facility where superheated water in a tank was released via a 2 m long pipe. On the basis of these comparisons and of model studies, conditions for obtaining predictions with good accuracy are identified.
