Validation of input-noise model for simulations of supercontinuum generation and rogue waves

    Abstract

    A new model for pump noise in supercontinuumand rogue wave generation is presented. Simulations are compared with experiments and show that the new model provides significantly better agreement than the currently ubiquitously used model.
