This report describes a model investigation into wind power prediction model as well as a tool for predicting the power production from wind turbines in an area - the Wind Power Prediction Tool (WPPT). The predictions are based on on-line measurements of power production for a selected set of reference wind farms in the area as well as numerical weather predictions covering the locations of the reference wind farms. WPPT is in operational use in the Western part of Denmark and the utilities experiences with the tool is presented.
