Abstract

A methodology for measuring copper release rates from antifouling coatings is presented. It is possible to measure the effect of leached layer thickness as well as the effect of hydrophilicity/hydrophobicity of the coating matrix. The methodology offers versatility and the possibility of combining release rate measurements with several exposure conditions.
