Abstract

The quality factor of resonator is described by a dilution factor defined as the ratio of tension to linear strain energies. We implement topology optimization of resonators with the dilution factor as an objective. The finite element model combines mesh refinement and a mixed formulation to accurately model the boundary effects in eigenmode.
