Abstract
The inelastic-neutron-scattering technique was used to measure the magnetic excitation spectrum of Mn2+ triads in CsMn0.28 Mg0.72Br3. It is shown that biquadratic two-spin and particularly three-spin interaction terms distinctly contribute to the spin coupling of the Mn2+ ions. The present work thus provides direct experimental evidence of the existence of three-body forces in an interacting system
