Abstract

A large-scale intervention study was carried out in Danish classrooms, in which pupils assisted by their teachers measured indoor environment parameters and completed a wellbeing survey and a concentration performance test. Measurements were made on two days; one with airing of the classroom prior to the lesson when measurements were made and one with "business as usual" behaviour. Airing the classrooms resulted in improvement of the air quality, pupils' score of several indoor environment factors and symptoms, and the error rate of a concentration performance test.
