The Goddard expansion and the kinetic theory for solutions of rodlike macromolecules

Abstract

It is shown that the Goddard series is more useful in studies of macromolecule kinetics than previously used series, because the former has better convergence properties, and may be more conveniently handled in applied hydrodynamic calculations, than the latter.
