Abstract

Hyper-rectilinear distances correspond to the l p distance function for 0 < p < 1. These distances occur in practice when the travel distances between pairs of points are generally greater than rectilinear distances. In this paper we examine the single facility location problem when hyper-rectilinear distances are present.
