Abstract
Mobile sensing - i.e., the ability to unobtrusively collect sensor data from built-in phones and attached wearable sensors - is a core research topic in Ubicomp. Here, we present a demonstration of the CARP Mobile Sensing (CAMS) framework, a modern cross-platform (Android / iOS) software architecture providing a reactive and unified programming model that emphasizes extensibility, maintainability, and adaptability. CAMS has evolved since 2018, released in several versions, has been used in implementing a wide number of mobile health (mHealth) applications, and is well-documented. We demonstrate the software design, the programming model, documentation, and extensibility of CAMS.
