Abstract
This is a technical report describing the simulations made with the shoreline model from MIKE.
The goal of the BARREEF project is to restore or increase biodiversity in the vicinity of the reef, while simultaneously providing protection for the shoreline behind the reef without causing too much erosion at the adjacent shores. The BARREEF
project is a collaborative project funded by the Velux foundation and Vattenfall. It involves researchers from DTU Aqua: Dr. Jon Svendsen (PI), Dr. Martin Lindegren (PI) and Dr. Tim Wilms as well as DTU Construct: Prof. Erik Damgaard Christensen and Dr. Bjarke Eltard Larsen.
This report will focus only on the coastal engineering part of the project, i.e. the effect of the reef on the adjacent shores.
