Synchronized Q-switching of 1064 and 1342 nm laser cavities using a V:YAG saturable absorber

Abstract

We prove that pumping of a V:YAG saturable absorber with 1064 nm pulses modulates the transmission of 1342 nm light. We then demonstrate a dual-cavity laser emitting synchronized, Q-switched pulses at 1064 and 1342 nm.
