Crystal structure, oxygen stoichiometries and superconducting properties of RT chemically oxidized La2-xSrxCuO4+y (0 < x < 0.15) have been studied by means of powder neutron diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The presence of interstitial oxygen located at (1/4,1/4,approximate to 1/4), as in La2CuO4+y, is confirmed; however, phase separation at low temperature is not observed.
