Abstract
The paper deals with models, based on the theory of plasticity, to
be used in strength assessments of reinforced concrete disks
suffering from different kinds of cracking. Based on the
assumption that the sliding strength of concrete is reduced in
sections where cracks are located, solutions for the shear
strength of disks with initial cracks and disks suffering from
isotropic cracking are presented. Furthermore, in the case of
isotropicly cracked disks subjected to arbitrary in-plane loading,
a general yield condition is derived.
