Abstract
Weak localization magnetoresistance for two-dimensional electrons in a GaAs/AlGaAs heterostructure, with electrons spilling over into the second subband has been studied experimentally. The magnetoresitance is unusual since it exhibits 3 maxima at low magnetic fields. We interpret this as a result of a strong spin-orbit effect in the upper subband due to interband scattering.
