    Abstract

Some basic principles for a computational puff-model for prediction and simulation of atmospheric dispersion are discussed. The constraints imposed by use of a single point measurement of the windfield for advection of puffs are examined. A simple scheme for simulation of a more realistic windfield is proposed. One example of the use of a puff-model is snown and comparison is made with an ordinary Gaussian plume model.
