Abstract
In this report some of the more relevant questions of advanced alarm analysis systems for nuclear power plant installations are described. The development of such alarm systems poses three main tasks:
- the development of formal alarm handling
methods,
- the design of alarm patterns,
- and the development of alarm analysis system.
This paper deals with the major aspects of these three points. The close relation between the alarm analysis and the plant disturbance analysis procedure is emphasized.
