Abstract
The education of engineers needs to focus on abilities to facilitate change processes, involving participants actively and be able to view the problem in relation to a dynamic context of different environments. The essence of the future demands of engineers' social and technical qualification is the ability to alternate between modes of routine, reflection and creativity rather than to be 'locked' into one of these modes.
