    Abstract

    We present the use of a photonic crystal fiber to straightforwardly compress ultrashort pulses from a diode-pumped ytterbium laser emitting around 1 m. 75-fs pulse generation and a large 11.3-m tunability for sub-100-fs pulses is reported.
