Scaling properties of pure-quartic solitons

    Abstract

    We demonstrate, by experiments and analytical developments, that the recently discovered pure-quartic solitons significantly outperform conventional solitons for high-energy ultrafast pulses. This is due to the favorable scaling of their energy and their Kelly sidebands.
