Abstract

Our group has been working for a few years on the topic of safety of autonomous vehicles, including theoretical developments, actual risk analyses, hazard analysis methods effectiveness and quality studies, and neural network robustness studies. This report has been written to provide a framework for these detailed studies, and to avoid having to reiterate the safety analysis background when each detailed study is published and to avoid having to reinvent the wheel for every new AV safety and security project. Comments and suggestions for updates are welcome, and will be accredited.
