    Abstract

Some recent developments in Analog-Sampled-Data Signal Processing (ASD SP) are reviewed. Following a brief review of the state-of-the-art in switched capacitor (SC) signal processing, the "current mode" switched-current (SI/S2I) technique is presented. New techniques for exploring niches in low voltage, low current, tuneable systems or very high speed BiCMOS and GaAs circuits are introduced with reference to current work, and some design suggestions are given for further circuit implementations. The S2I technique is maturing quickly, offering a potential cost/performance advantage for single-chip mixed mode systems implemented in standard digital ULSI/VLSI technologies.
