Abstract
In this report a theory is developed for the calculation of crack directions, crack distances and crack widths in reinforced concrete structures subjected to biaxial stress fields.
The crack direction is determined by minimization of the complementary elastic energy.
For crack distances and crack widths an approximate method of calculation, based on the uniaxial theory, is given.
It is shown, that the theory is in good ageement with tests.
