Abstract
The purpose of the second working group was to determine how to build and sustain the emerging civil design community. Topics discussed included the goals, format, and location of future meetings; how to increase involvement from industry and architecture;
plans to offer professional education and outreach to colleagues who are interested in design in civil and environmental engineering; and the long-term possibility of creating a civil design society.
