abstract = "The characteristicfacade and gable surface load are overestimated by the Danish Code of Practice, DS 410. This results in an increased level of safety, which is only partly neutralized by an underestimated partial safety factor in the Code. Thus, using the Code the total safety regarding the horizontal wind load on facades and gables of low-rise buildings is sufficient and usually larger than necessary. For a 22½º roof pitch the Code underestimates the vertical downward wind load on the roof.",
