Abstract
The rate constant for the reaction of atomic oxygen (O(3P)) with dimethylmercury has been measured at room temperature at a pressure of about 1 Torr using a fast flow system with electron paramagnetic resonance and mass spectrometric detection. Some reaction products were identified. The rate constant found is (2.5 ± 0.2) × 10−11 cm3 molecule−1 s−1.
