Abstract

We propose to pre-set the frozen bits of a rate-adaptive punctured polar-coded system to pseudo-random sequences. The many-to-one probabilistic shaping gains are improved to 2 dB (≈160 km) w.r.t. the standard punctured polar-coded system.
