Abstract
Some pans of the future fusion ractor NET will be cooled by liquid water. Radiolytic decomposition of water with formation of potentially explosive mixture H2 + O2 is expected, due to the intense radiation fields (neutrons and y rays). Irradiation experiments are performed with a mixed flux of a and y rays to simulate the NET conditions. The effect of dissolved hydrogen on the formation and suppression of radiolytic products is studied as a function of the ratio α/γ radiations.
