    Abstract

A number of basic problems connected with the measurement of beta and gamma dose-rates are discussed, and the possibility of using low-temperature peaks in quartz and feldspar for dose-rate measurements is examined. Preliminary results of TL measurements on individual grains of quartz and feldspar are presented. A TL dating method based on the difference in the archaeological dose received by potassium feldspar and quartz grains is proposed.
