Abstract
Three problems, which are determining the perspectives for the
producing companies of the future, are identified:-
Industrialisation of the product development activities- Computer
support for product development based upon designer's workbench
and product modelling- New working methods based upon new insight
info and tools for product development.This chapter shows the IPS
research results and working areas, related to these areas, and a
sketch of the consequences and the challenges is established.
