Abstract
Post-occupancy evaluation (POE) can be used to evaluate if a building actually is performing as it was intended in the design-phase, and more importantly, if the occupants feel well in the building. POE includes a broad range of metrics: Indoor environmental quality (IEQ); occupant health, wellbeing and satisfaction; productivity metrics; energy performance and running- and operational costs.
The current literature review focused on investigating methods applied in previously performed POEs in office buildings – with
special attention to IEQ and productivity. The general purpose is to compare and evaluate successful practices of POEs in office buildings, and review if and how they evaluated IEQ and
productivity.
