Polarization diversity silicon microring resonator for WDM ADD-DROP filtering

Abstract

We have demonstrated a polarization-diversity silicon microring resonator with a low PDL of <1 dB, which is successfully used for polarization independent ADD/DROP of a 10 Gbit/s channel in a a 10 λ x 10 Gbit/s WDM signal.
