In a measurement of angular correlation of positron annihilation, a spectrum is obtained which in many cases may be assumed to be a sum of central Gaussian curves, symmetrical side-peak Gaussians, and a background. The computer program PAACFIT was developed to perform the analysis necessary to extract the peak parameters from such spectra.
