Abstract
Horizontal indoor surfaces freshly soiled with human skin flakes were exposed to ozone in a small reaction chamber. Measurement of surface-bound and gaseous reaction products were conducted at two relative humidities (RH) and air change rates (ACR). Concentrations of the surface-bound products were influenced by their corresponding gas-phase concentrations (i.e., partitioning). Products with -C=C- bonds further reacted with ozone. Gaseous concentrations of products were higher at lower ACR.
