Abstract
Through cascaded second-harmonic generation, few-cycle solitons can form that
resonantly emit strongly red-shifted optical Cherenkov radiation. Numerical simulations show
that such dispersive waves can be an efficient source of near- to mid-IR few-cycle broadband
pulses.
