Abstract
The formulation of planar near-field measurements of GPR antennas determines the plane-wave spectra of the GPR antenna in terms of measurements obtained with a buried probe as the GPR antenna moves over a scan plane on the ground. A numerical study investigates how the formulation is affected by (1) truncation of the scan-plane, (2) inaccuracies in the estimates of the soil properties, and (3) inaccuracies in the probe location.
