Abstract

The keyhole depth is a key parameter in the laser welding of busbar to battery tabs in battery packs in electric vehicles (EV), as it directly affects the quality of the weld. Three-dimensional Numerical model of laser keyhole welding has been developed to describe the porosities formation and keyhole depth variation.
