Abstract
In 2011 I took on a role as Head of Department in the area of Humanities in a Danish university. Before assuming this role, I had been an associate professor in a Danish Business School after having previously worked at other Danish universities. This reflects my interdisciplinary background in Science and Technology Studies. My management experience before 2011 primarily consisted of having been Director of a Doctoral School in Organisation and Management Studies, but I also had academic knowledge of the field of research management. After eight years, I stepped down as Head in 2019 to become a full time professor.
