The fire chapter of the Danish Code of Practice for the structural
use of concrete DS 411 contains methods and data for design of
fire exposed concrete structures, all of them derived and
documented by Kristian Hertz, who is a member of the two project
teams writing the chapter. A considerable documentation has been
produced for the work comprising for example comparisons between
calculations and 50 full-scale column tests. The text contains:
material properties for Danish concrete at elevated temperatures,
calculation method for determining the temperature distribution in
a concrete cross section exposed to standard fire, and for
calculation of moment capacity of reinforced concrete cross
sections and stability of reinforced concrete columns with central
and eccentric load.
