Abstract
A central part of the Danish LoDist project has been the
derivation of an extended equivalent circuit and a corresponding
set of differential equations suitable for the simulation of
high-fidelity woofers under large and very large (clipping) signal
conditions. A model including suspension creep and eddy current
losses seems to be sufficient, but all the parameters of the model
vary with the position of the diaphragm. The model and the
associated set of nonlinear differential equations and the
solution of the equations are discussed.
