Abstract
We demonstrate a method to capture images containing spectral information in the infrared. The method is based
on sum frequency mixing of light, which allows for transformation of mid-infrared radiation to near visible light,
allowing for use of a regular silicon based camera for detection. Combined, this leads to much improved
sensitivity over existing methods for infrared imaging. The principle is generic and can be applied towards a
multitude of different applications.
