    Abstract

The X-ray pulsar GRO J1008-57 was detected in outburst during INTEGRAL Galactic Plane Scan observations performed on October 30, 2005, at 08h-10h UTC. The signal-to-noise ratio for this source was 13.2 in the mosaic image obtained by the IBIS/ISGRI telescope in the 18-45 keV band and the average flux was 31+/-3 mCrab. The spectrum in this energy band is well described by a power law with the photon index 2.5+/-0.5. The source was not confidently detected above 45 keV.

We encourage follow-up observations of this source at all wavelengths.
