Nanotechnology engineered LEDs for high speed visible light communication

Abstract

GaN based LEDs are engineered by the advanced nanophotonics (localized surface plasmon, nanopillar) to increase the modulation speed for VLC. A new wavelength conversion material based on porous SiC also shows promise for ultrafast VLC.
