Abstract

Versatile control of the spontaneous emission of quantum light sources is a crucial step towards developing the photonic platform for quantum computing and communications [1]. Enhancement or suppression of the probability of the spontaneous emission is determined by the emitter's local density of the photonic states (LDoS), which can be substantially modified in the presence of a photonic cavity. The conventional ways to achieve high LDoS rely on decreasing the electromagnetic mode volume, increasing the optical resonance quality factor (Q-factor), and mitigating the detuning between the emission frequency of the quantum source and the resonance frequency of the photonic structure [2]. However, fabrication-induced disorder results in unintended spectral shifts of the optical resonances, suppressing the light-matter interactions in the photonic nanocavities.
