Abstract

In pump-probe spectroscopy, the thermoelastic effect activates a coherent acoustic phonon in an asymmetric WSSe crystal. We propose a piezoelectric field enhances the response due to the Franz-Keldysh effect. The phonon response is controlled by multiple pump pulses.
