    Abstract

The modular concept described in this paper attempts to design standard supervisory controllers for different applications. The functional abstraction hierarchy technique is used to formulate the control requirements and identify the functions of the control system. The modular algorithm is generic and flexible enough to be used with any system configuration and several goals.
